Problem
- New paper is being used to reprint old information
Problem
Reprinting for new editions is costly to the Earth and end-users
One of the unfortunate realities of current publishing practices is the use of new trees to print later editions of existing texts. Many of these texts have only a portion of updated material, but the entire book is printed on this newly created paper matter.
Solution
- Print new information on old paper
Solution
Recycle the material, not the information.
By having the ability to select which portions of texts to update, publishers are empowered to reduce their impact on the environment. Fewer trees will be cut down in waste and excess. More outdoor spaces will exist for us to nestle up and read our favorite books instead.
